Tuition - Fees - Housing

Does the VA pay my full tuition at LMU?

Not necessarily - the VA will pay a benefit based upon your eligibility. You are responsible for any portion of your tuition and fees that are not covered by your VA benefits. Payment varies according to Chaper Benefits. The VA will not pay for late or reinstatement fees. If you have a question about payments, consult your VA counselor. You can calculate the approximate costs of attendance using the Post 9/11 GI-Bill Comparison Tool website for details:

The Post 9/11 GI Bill (Chapter 33) includes a monthly housing allowance. How much?

9/11 GI Bill students (chapter 33) must be registered as more than half-time status to be eligible. This varies from each year and is affected by your eligibility percentage. It is also affected if you are taking all of your classes online. See the Post 9/11 GI-Bill Comparison Tool website for details:

Chapters 30, 35, 1606, and 1607

  • It is your responsibility to see that tuition and fees are paid on time. Tuition and fees are due prior to the start of each semester. Your benefits are paid at the end of each month for that month.

Chapter 31

  • You must submit Form 1905 which will have been pre-approved by your counselor.

Chapter 33/33 Yellow Ribbon

  • If you have 100% tuition and fee coverage as determined by the VA, the VA pays the University directly.
  • If your eligibility level is not 100%, you will be required to either pay the balance or set up a satisfactory payment plan with Student Financial Services prior to the start of the semester.
