After checking the lists below to confirm the school and corresponding course you wish to take is listed, you must submit a Transfer Course Review Form with the courses taken directly from the transfer school's catalog. A course that does not appear on an agreement does not transfer to LMU.

Please note: Current LMU students may not take courses at another institution while enrolled during the Fall or Spring semesters.

For students who have studied abroad and are wishing to transfer the credit from the overseas institution must submit the transfer course review. Courses are not guaranteed to transfer unless listed from an Institution below:

Exams

  • LMU participates in the Advanced Placement Program of the College Board. Students may be granted credit at the time of entrance into the University for subjects in which they have completed the AP examinations with minimum score of 4. When official scores have been received from the College Board, applicants will be notified of the advanced placement and course credit in accordance with the following table.

    A maximum of 2 AP exams can be used to fulfill Core Exploration requirements.

    Note: An essay is required for all examinations offering optional essays.

    Note: Students studying for the Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies do not follow the regular University Core pattern. IB credit does not count for most graduate Health Professions and Dental schools. Students intending to pursue pre-medical studies should fulfill major requirements at LMU.

  • Students who earn grades of C or better will earn a minimum of six (6) elective credits at LMU. Exceptions to this standard are detailed below. The General Certificate of Education (GCE) must be sent directly from the assessment body to the Office of the Registrar, 1 LMU Drive, MS 8325, Los Angeles, CA 90045-2659. Credit cannot be transferred using self-reported scores or high school transcripts as documentation.
